Why does this board just ignore the 9600?

I'm talking about pro and non pro versions. I know its a bit weaker than the 9500, but this board seems to think a lot about cards like the 8500 and up to the 9500, then skip over the 9600 and head to the 9700 and 9800. Whats up with that? I am waiting for my 9600 Pro to come in that I ordered(couldn't find a cheap 9500 Pro, I looked so hard too). I would hope there are no serious defects in it. Is there?

OMG, NOT the R9600PRO, that's terrible!!!

The flux capacitor has been configured completley backwards on those!!!!j/k

The R9600PRO is a great card, and seems to have GOBS of overclocking potential. It's just not a real popular card b/c the R9500PRO will outperform it at stock slocks, and when both are overclocked, the R9500PRO will still barely have an advantage.

My bet is you'll see more and more R9600PRO users when the R9500PRO is gone,a nd the R9600PRO is substantially less expensive than a non-PRO R9700

Enjoy your card, it's a great one, and don'f forget it's an overclocking monster!

9600 pro is ok
9500np ('L' shaped ones) OCs better and achieves higher scores than 9600 pro

Maybe cause we had a long ass thread where we showed how the 256 bit 9500np not modded is faster than the 9600 Pro

Really?!?!?! Aww you didn't have to be mean about it. I have bearly been here for 3 days. So cool off please and be frendly to the n00bie.

I don't really plan on OC'ing much, although if I hang out here enough I might eventually end up doing it. I would really just like my card to last as long as possible. I really see no reason for me to OC. The most demanding game I have now is Warcraft 3:TFT. I might pick up UT2k3 soon though. And HL2 is on the way.

And BTW did any of you even read my post? I'm thinking the first poster did, but some of you just went by the topic title. You know titles usually introduce whats going to be in the post. Yes the post. The thing that contains the content of why the title was made. Read it some time please.

Overclocking an R9600PRO is simple. Easy. Newb friendly. Nothing to it. Hassle free. Won't break anything. Virtually risk free.

Just download an overclocking utility, and enjoy. There's nothing to phyically do, it's all software. The R9600PRO has GOBS upon GOBS of overclocking potential, it comes stock very underclocked.

Yeah, when the 9600 Pro came out, I considered getting one. Good thing I didn't. While the first batch overclocked like mad, the newer ones are getting only mediocre OCs. And really, if you're not overclocking, the 9600 Pro is a complete waste. The 9500 Pro is only a little more, and it's much better at stock speeds.
