Kiel, you won't know where that is
i am starting to overclock my athlon xp 2500+

Now the temperature in my bios says (without any overclocking)

43 degress though i have many fans in my case and a thermalright slk 800 heatsink with 80mm fan on my cpu

On the other hand after having installed hmonitor, this program shows that the cpu is only at 26 degrees

Where should i believe in ??

What is the best monitoring tool

Please help; please

I am going to guess that you are using an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mobo. I see the same thing in ASUS probe; however when I check H/W monitor in the bio I see that the temps are backward. The bios temps are realistic.

When you observe the temp in the bios it reads about the same as a sys running at 50% CPU. It is normal to see it that high.
