what do you need to build mplayer fom src

I want to build mplayer from src but what packages do i need if i want to wach movies in X

ok thanks i tryed to install the rpms but somthing went wrong
when i try to erase the pakages i use rpm -e package1 package2 package3
because they are alldependant on one another but when i do that it dosent work and my computer goes very slow but i left it on over night but the packages were still there
