newegg 9700 refurb help?

Hey all I just got the AIW 9700 non pro from newegg. It didn't come with the power cord to the card. Will it work without one? I don't want to put it into my machine and fry the GPU.

No it wont work without one, but it wont fry the card, because Ive forgotten to plug my power cable to the card a couple times, it just gives you an error msg at the startup. But you can use the Floppy power cable until you get another. The molex to floppy power cable can be found at any sort of computer shop... or look online.

I bought my 9700pro Refurbed from newegg and it came with everything. Guess I got lucky. So all you got was the card? Or is that all that is missing is the power cable?

Not like you need a floppy drive right now do you?

All that came with it is the Card...no cables or cd of any sort. I could deal without the other parts since I knew I was not goign to get one but I really do need my floppy drive. I reformat my computer a lot and need the sata raid drivers as well as save stuff on floppy since I'm paranoid my raid will go poof.

Im not saying you should take your floppy out... im saying use the floppy power cable untill you can get another one for your 9700 aiw.

Just a temporary solution.

Are you sure that your ps only has one floppy power cable? I know mine has 2.
