Ram Question

I have a 256meg stick of ECC/Registered running at cl2 100, giving me about 90% of my usuable bandwidth with ecc disabled in the bios and 86% with ecc enabled in the bios. I also have 3 sticks of 128meg cl2 100 stuff that run at about 94% of usuable bandwidth.

Now what I am wondering is which is better for a HTPC? any and all advice will be most helpful. also consider that this htpc will be used for encoding to divx, mpeg capture, playing dvd's/cd's, playing divx's, and all that other good htpc stuff.

256mb ecc/reg vs 384mb normal ram

I would go for 384Mb. The more, the better.
