need help with winxp reformating urgent

hey guys
to get to the point, when ever i try to reformat i keep on getting a fatal error in the setup part.
A pop up says" Fatal Error - An error has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing. Setup failed to install the product catalogs. This is a fatal error. The setup log files should contain more information." then it tells me to press OK and it restarts and the same problem appears again.

i tried using both of my harddrives to test and it didnt help.

Guys plz help me

are you overclocked at all? is your Windows XP disc in a good condition? IDE cables ok?

no nothing is overclocked becuase i set everything back to normal and yes the ide cables are ok and disc is in good condition

doesnt seem like it
because it was working perfectly 3 days ago
until i got that virus worm thing and i reformated.

do a fdisk then try it installing it

Clear your cmos, and try it again.
