How would i go about doing this?

Right now im currently using a GeForce 2MX 400 64MB PCI video card... But my Radeon 9100 128MB AGP Video card is on the way, when i get it what steps do i do to remove all nvidia driver traces from my system? And what steps to do after that? Or will i have to reformat? Any of those arent a problem... even formatting.

use nvidia's detonator remover, it should remove all traces of the drivers. but, if you're willing to format, i'd go with that. better to start fresh then have conflicts later on.

On one machine I ended up formating and re-installing, after trying to remove the drivers and such (you should also remove DirectX and re-install that as well). Another machine didn't have any problem at all with the switch. It's not that the video card didn't work, it's that it didn't work correctly. You may or may not run into this problem, as I'm sure my hardware is different than yours. For me, when it didn't work properly, certain games would not funtion normally. As if I was playing online with a ping of 9000ms.

I would uninstall the nvidia drivers before installing the new card and then use a program called Detonator RIP to remove all the left over traces of the nvidia drivers. Has worked for me several times.

he didn't say that he was getting high pings, he said it was as if he was getting high pings. i would guess that he was getting very choppy video performance and.
