Unhappy Klipsch Pro Media 5.1's, DOA

Any body had any trouble with the Promedia's crapping out? Turned 'em on my computer yesterday morning after an evening of moderate gaming and only one channel worked completely (LF) and two worked (center and LR) but with a tremendous amount of fuzzing. I switched the input plugs around and the results were the same so it is in the Amp. Luckily bought through NewEgg and RMA'd, but I'm wondering do I want to go back with the same critters? They're only about 7 months old. We did have a severe thunderstorm the night before (I turned off the computers and such) but the Klipsch's were left on, but on a surge protecter that did not trip, so I don't think that had any thing to do with it. Thoughts, opinions?

Had mine for a year or so, there is a crackle when adjusting the volume at low levels, but mine still sound awesome. Think I picked mine up at worstbuy, didn't know better back then.

I RMA'd to NewEgg, in fact they received it today. I won't hear the final verdict until next week and will post response. Klipsch did respond promptly to my original email, but I thought I had purchased direct, but when i checked receipts, it was a NewEgg purchase so I went through them.
