P4 CPUID i think i am on to somthing

OK as far as we all know you cant unlock the P4.

i read in another forums though that the P4 has something similar to a mini bios on it

When my computer boot it says CPUID blah blah blah update 6/10/2003 i think the guy was right and thats how intel locks the multiplers

ok i have said enough Lets go to work guys start digging!!!!!!
 
In a sense he's right. But the data isn't stored in an EEPROM like a BIOS is. It's contained in a bunch of polysilicon fuses. In order to change those values, you'll need to find a way to un-blow a fuse that's only a few hundred nanometers across. Good luck with that.
