I'd go for the Radeon 9800. Although the Brittney Spears thing is making me think twice.

Same price? Get the 5900 ultra, it is a little better than the 9800 pro 256meg supposedly, and is a much more valuable card (costs around 450$ as opposed to 250$ if I remember.) If you are asking which between the two we'd recommend given the standard prices... the 9800 no questions asked. the 5900 ultra costs way way too much.

Both cards can play anything & do anything. They make a 256 9800 also

You pick the card and get back to us on how you like it.

I'd go with the 9800 simply because all these articles of Nvidia's driver-based cheats have left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think i'll ever "ooooh" and "aaaaah" at the sight of Nvidia's benchmarks on their latest products anymore. For all i know, they're fake.

IMO the 9800 is the right choice.

Yeah I know that... but I still have fps drops. everyone says that's because 9800 has problems with CS. anyone know anything about it?

Your 9800 should have noooo problem handling CS, its most likely a driver issue. Try reinstalling the newest drivers.

Are the fps drops in massive smoke grenade spams? My fps drops only occur during smoke grenade spams. Then again im on a gf4 ti4200 4xaa 8xaf.

On your 9800 with probs with cs, I haven't heard anything about that. Whats your AA/AF settings? V-sync on/off?

why are you getting a new graphic card? a radeon 9800 non pro is a good card....most people here would love to have one of those...some people just have too much money
