hey everyone....
i am trying to get some ram installed on my nf7-s but for some reason the ram won't work when i try to boot the machine. i get the 1 long continuous beep and according to #10 of the beep code sticky for abit boards it means....
"Long(Beep) continuous DRAM isn't inserted correctly". i made sure i was putting the ram in correctly even though it can only go one way and made sure it was seated and locked into place.
the ram was given to me as a grad present and i have 2 sticks of 1gb 1600/ddr by Micron/200mhz/cl2, ECC
i know i would get better performance out of this board with an upgrade but for right now this will do.
does it matter which slots the modules are installed in?
any help would be appreciated.
thank you! :) ;)

i have tried the same memory on my ks75a and it works.
going to reference the manual.
just wanted to know if anyone had the same issues or not.
thanks Edward2 for the insight. i appreciate it. :)

I juat checked the manual, the NF7 doesn't support ECC memory, or registered memory. And it says that in 3 different places.
