Putting image of old hard drive on a different one?

I've got Acronis True Image, and I just picked up a new 120gb hard drive at Fry's (Grand Opening sale at the one up here in Seattle: 120GB WD SE for $50 after MIR). I was wondering if it's possible to make an image of my old drive, then put it on the new one, so I have the new one set up like my current one is. I'd hate to spend the hours to reinstall everything if I can just do something like that.

I am not familiar with this one, but your Q is accomplished by Norton Ghost quite easy

Well, I'm going to try to get True Image to do it, we'll see if it works.

Yes, that is very possible. But before you remove the old OS. Double check to make sure the new image file works. ( i have some images not work ) Good luck. K1ll1nT1m3

PS. I do it all the time. I have a basic image stored on 2 cds so I dont have to reinstall and configure everything.
