Talking Let's Talk

Okay, we're over our first week of the current TeamRace, and I certainly hope everyone is enjoying themselves.

Now in addition to the Daily TeamRace Stats I have been posting here:

http://www.ocsetiteam.com/teamrace/TeamRaceDaily.htm

I have also posted a Weekly Totals page here:

http://www.ocsetiteam.com/teamrace/weeklytotals.htm

As you can see this page shows each teams Actual production for the seven day period. In addition each team receives a Bonus, plus the fourth place team receives a Trump Award .
Now initially I had proposed that the Bonus would be equal to 20% of Norrko's weekly production figure, and the Trump Award would also be 20%. All four team would get 20% and the fourth place team would get the additional 20%. Well those figures, at least to me ended up looking out of wack, so here is what I have done, at least for the present. Each team receives a 23% Bonus Award, 23% times four teams equals 92% of Norrko's Total. And the fourth place team receives an 8% Trump Award.

I want to see what you guys and gals have to say, if it creates a really bad feeling we can talk about possible solutions, but this seems to provide assistance without making things go too lopsided. Remember from the start this was presented as a learning experience, and most of all FUN!

Respectfully,
SkyHook

This sound's good.

The one thing I was wondering about is if people are holding a cache which makes thier output look low. Then they get all the bonus point's and then drop thier cache.
I don't want to say anybody would do this on purpose, but it's possible. Please don't take it the wrong way.

Do you follow what I'm saying?

ANYWAY, I'M HAVING FUN! CRUNCH ON!

Lightbulb Understand Your Point

I do understand your point and my only reference to observe that possibility is as I had stated previously that initially the four teams were constructed with a projected daily output of 351-353 WUs. By looking at the ACTUAL PRODUCTION line on the Weekly Totals page I published all four teams exceeded the projected 353 X 7 = 2471 WUs, so it would seem that no one is holding back. That is also my reason for going to such lengths to publish as much info as possible so that everyone involved can constantly monitor race progress.

Smile Bonus Award

I too was thinking that 20% of Norrko, output was too big a bonus. 8% is more reasonable will help maintain even parity.
Now that you have made it 8%, you should keep there.

looking good Ron!

and as i've stated before, a 20% of Norrko's output is a bit too much for the last place since it's a pretty close caculated race.

Whooo!! It's great to see a totals coloumn on the daily stats now so that I don't have to calculate myself to see where we are

It's a great race, and it's gonna be fun to see who wins, especially with Norrko!!!
