Looking for a ATI card.

hey guys im in the market for a ATI and want to spend around 300$ Can and im not sure what to look for. the card would be mostly used for gamming and wont be oc'ed so im pretty much looking for a opinion, thanks for the help im sure to get.

I think for $300 Can. you could get the top of the line 9800 Pro.

9800 pro are going for around......$530-560 canadian.

A 9800 Non-pro should fit within that budget. If you're not oc'ing, brand really won't matter at all.

Even the 9800 np its still 400CDN with tax.

SO his only option left would be ATI 9500Pro or 9600Pro

if you can find a 9500 non pro, u can mod it to a 9700 PRO-like card

what are the diferences on the 9500Pro and the 9600Pro?

i would not mind but its for a friend, and i dont want to OC his card incase something goes wrong.( i never oced a ati ) and plus moding a vcard is out of my league =p
