i was readin that smp thread tryin to understand. but i need to have someone simplify it for me.

would my dual 2Ghz comp play a game faster than a 3Ghz single cpu comp?

In most cases, no. Thje single CPU system could probably be overclocked with a higher FSB and would then have better memory bandwidth. If, you were playing one of those very few games that is multi-threaded, then it might be faster. The main benfit is that you could say, encode and divx video while playing a game and listening to some MP3's in the background. The main benefit is multi-tasking.

thats fine, im nto even much of a gamer, mainly just download and encode.
