This from W. Jerry Sanders, speaking at the Salomon Smith Barney Semi-conductor Conference on 5/10.

"We're introducing 1.4 GHz imminently, 1.5GHz next quarter and faster clock speeds throughout the year. Duron has higher clock speeds than Celeron and blows away Celeron clock for clock and has higher clock speeds than Pentium III or will have in the second half. "

Since mobile Palomino AKA 'Athlon 4' is already being sold, an announcement is forthcoming.
