hi, i've overclocket my duron850 to a 1gigaherz

just after reboot: temp is 49°C
After +- 5 minutes it's 45°C

Is it too hot? What's the "maximum" temperature?

CPU was before overclocking 35°

Will the temperature go down when I try to lower the voltage?

I just lower my v from 1.75 (default) to 1.7 and got a 3 to 4 C drop on my 1 GHz TB un-OC (before 52 now 48 and with SETI running)Another person told me to drop it to 1.5. They had oc their 1G TB to 1.2 with Vc of 1.5 I haven't tried that yet.

are there no other good programs to lower temperature? I already got rain

please put your system specs in your sig this will help all of us help you ;D

it's already oké..
850@1000mhz
vcore voltage : 1.625V
system:
20giga HD, 192MB Ram, mainboard: Abit KT7A, Riva TNT 2 video card..
Today I'll try 1.1giga; nothing I can try ? No settings that work more often?

Well personally speaking a CPU temp of 49 c would concern me.. specially if that is idle, as I was lead to believe that anything over 50 c is not good.. and thats just a little to close
