ok well this is kinda weird

my linux computer never locks up , except every now and then

like maybe once a week, FAH will lock up my computer (i cant login to another term, or anything) so ive just stopped running it
and its fine..

i just dont get it.. anyone else having this problem?

btw i have a p3 700mhz with the 2.4B client, with -advmethods

sorry if this is in the wrong forum!

Perhaps you are not completely stable. Have you ran Prime95, and if so, how long without errors?

erm... just downloaded it, finished 18 frames and then it froze everything
reboot -> started again (I mean?! will he do this every time if I kill him before he reaches 400 frames?) and froze it again at the first frame
it's rh 9.0 2.4.20 barton 1800@2200 completly stable (raised voltage just to be sure, now waiting for results)

im running a p3 700mhz @ 700mhz

it produces no errors, running P-95

I think it is a flaw in the fah client. I read about it: it cannot use sse correctly (i think) and causes newer athlons to lock up.

That still shouldn't kill the box, unless it is a bug in the Athlon.

Are you running FAH as root?
