Hehe, try to be specific huh? Like the other posters mentioned, just lead us in the right direction.

Last week I just ordered a set of Klipsch 4.1 refurbs for $150 shipped, and that's a great price for what you get. I haven't gotten to test out their sound yet, but they are worth $150 just for aesthetic value in my opinion.

This is a great bargain if it's in your price range and you want something for gameing. There is a link in the Cyber deals forum to this deal and the 2.1 deal for $99, so you can look them up or just ask and I will link you.

Hope you get the answers you are looking for.

I got the Creative 4.1 system for $50 (American). I'm completely satisfied with it. When I play Battlefield 1942, I can hear everything that is behind me and the surround sound works perfect. Its definitely loud enough to pi55 off the neighbors

A single speaker? That's kind of confusing, you don't just want headphones?

Sale price $129, you pay ~$150 including S/H.

Definetly a great deal for what you get, I'm gonna be updating my sound section thread about their performance tomorow or thursday, once I get the speaker interconnection wires in the mail. (Shipping error)

Okay... Are we dummies because the z-560 is better, or because you have it so you are a fanboy? I wouldn't mind being a dummy in this situation if I atleast knew why I was a dummy - if the z-560's are better can you tell me why?

Are the 560's THX certified? The Klipsch PM 4.1's are. From what you said the 560's are loud, but there is more to speakers than volume.

EDIT: I visited their website and the 560's are THX certified.

The 560 has a 8" 188 watt sub, 53 watts per sattellite, 35Hz-20KHz frequency response.

Klipsch 4.1's has a 160 watt sub (2 speakers, I'm not sure of what size), 60 watt per sattelite, 29Hz-20KHz frequency response.

So basically their stats look very similar... I think you'd probably have to hear both of them to accurately compare.

Yeah, the z560s are THX certified. And yeah, they are more than just loud... the quality's pretty decent, but then again I've never heard the promedia 4.1s.

There was a nice, long review of them at 3dsoundsurge.com... their consensus was that the z560s are about the same as the promedia 4.1s, with a slight edge given to the promedias.

I have Labtec 4.1 and its great sound quality, almost the same power as 2500W Boss PA System, which will wake the neighbours up at the end of my street as well as just next door

But remember it's not VOLUME its quality and functionality to look for in a good set of speakers. If you've got $$$ Then I'd SAY Build YOUR OWN!!!! I'll do a guide one of these days!

Well I wouldn't consider my 4.1's or the z-560's exactly "portable". The sub box for both about a cubic foot and the satalites are about 4x4x8 (for PM 4.1's...i think the z-560's are like 5x8x2). I take my speakers home from college for christmas break and summer but other than that they stay put.

Don't get mad. This is just a matter of mis-communication. The proper term that 99% of people should recognize is Headphones. With that said, how much $$$ do you want to spend on a new pair? There are many quality headphones out there.
