Project: Zero Cool

Hey whats up everyone. I am sure no one here has heard about me unless you read some of my vapochill posts in the extreme cooling section.

I am currently thinking of starting a project. What I am thinking of is incorporating phase cooling and water cooling into a Lianli PC65 or PC70 case. The phasechange will be bolted to the top or bottom and the watercooling will be inside.

I am trying to figure out if I should try and go for a custom built vapor cooling setup or just get a used prommy (bottom half) or a stand alone vapo and then mod it.

I am trying to figure out how I can attach the phase cooling setup to the case as the compressor/condensor is way too big to fit inside. If you read the Fush Zero thread I am planning something like that but less extreme and w/ better cooling.

All ideas welcome

Don't think you will have much luck fitting that into a PC6X size case. Perhaps if you go with something a little smaller you could make it fit but I would estimate the innards of a prometia are probably 8 inches tall, maybe more. Even if you could make it fit I am not so sure you would want all that heat in your case? Probably better off with a seperate unit bolted on.

When I get enough cash saved up I am going to be modding my PC65B to fit my prometia. I would like to fit some water cooling in there as well but things are going to get pretty crowded! A PC7X would definatly give a bit more breathing room but a prommy with a PC7X is going on 10 feet tall

I wanted the W/C inside but I wanted the phase change bolted on. Sorry for not being clear on that.

But what phase change system should I go with. A stand alone Vapo, Prommy (I can get a used one for $490 shipped), or make a custom one. Looking for a custom one that will give close to prommy temps but will maybe cost $200 less. Is that possible

Hrm that looks pretty sweet. Guess ill pickup that used prommy for $490 shipped, R404A mod then a bunch of LianLi PC65 case mods. Unless my friend bowman can build me a nice phasechange system with similar temps but cheaper.

Should be easy enough, though you will have to drill out the rivets holding the hard drive cage in place so you can mount a radiator in its place,
