my friend asked me to build him a system for about $600, since i been pretty buzy w/ school and work, i haven't keep up with the this forum for awhile. Wat would be a good spec for a non overclock com so he couldl use it for browsing, doing hw, ect..

if your building a pc for $600, it would be worthwhile to overclock it......

If he is only doing homework I reccomend a 2500 barton for processor.

kingston value ram
80gb specail edition western digital (60-70 bucks if you score a deal).
geforce4mx
cheepo case
whatever is left get a good mobo if you can.

intel is just to expensive for 600 dollars
