cant update drivers

cant update drivers

im trying to update my driver for my 98xt.the problem is that when i start to install the drivers i get an error about no vga
controller.i just switched out my ti4200,uninstalled its drivers,
was able to load drivers off the 98xt cd no problem.
my specs:
8dra+
xp2500
120gb hhd
cdrom
cd burner
