Is this a good Hard Score on Sandra 2004??

Ok i have the WD 80GIG 8MB cache rive....and last night i did a test on my hard drive performace...

My drive is partitioned into 2...... C: (64.7GB) ad D: (9.76GB)

Drive C: has my OS and all my programs on it.

Drive D: Stores all my downloads and drivers etc..

Ok now... Drive C: scores 31006MB's And Drive D: Scores 17903MB's.

Both Partitions are NTFS.

seems a bit slow to me... my 80gig WD SEs hit 39k on average (I think)

sounds about right for NTFS. the smaller drive should be in fat though. that's way to small for NTFS. my lappy has a 35GB and that's agonizingly slow in NTFS.

never mind, got 31891 for my 80gig.. guess I was imagining things

but that smaller drive should be FAT to help speed it up

Remember Sandra isn't the best drive benchmark. You should try some other programs like ATTO and such.

ya, Ive used that, scores were reporteda bit higher and it gives a breakdown of different file sizes
