how much room is too much?

given that i don't care how big the case is, as i have plenty of room for a case of any size, how big is too big for a case?

i'm looking to watercool in it, so i know it's gotta be at least midtower. but i am really looking at the lian li pc-70 http://www.directron.com/pc70usb.html versus the lian li pc65 http://www.directron.com/pc65.html

given that they are both the same price, it seems like, why not get the bigger one? or is it totally feasible to WC with the smaller pc65?

You can never have too much room, unless you have a case as big as those compputer that took upp a room.. thats too much.

If you have the money and space get the 70 cuz there is so much you can do with the extra space (unless you LAN a lot then you might wanna get the smaller one if the extra height is a problem). You can fit a watercooling system in the 65 though.

You can watercool a 65, although it can get pretty cramped depending on how you lay it out. As much as I love the 65 it would not be my first choice for water cooling.

If the cables won't reach, especially the IDE ones, then the case is too big.

lite on fs020 or aopen h700b, more room than u could ever need, but never too much . The lian li pc70 is also a beaut of a case. I'm partial to the Aopen though.

The bigger the case, the more airflow required. Now, if you have an infinite budget and no hearing, thats not a problem.

true that more space means more cooling means more fans means more noise makes me sad

Why does more space mean more cooling. To me, more space means more air flow, which is a good thing.

you have to create said airflow.
if you only have a few large fans on the case, and more fans inside to circulate the air, it will most likely be more tolerable.

well guys, given that i'm looking to watercool, this case is not going to have tons of fans on it or anything. i'd like it to be quieter than my rattling beast right now. and it seems that watercooling is the way to accomplish that.

Well the PC70 is just taller on the top have where the CD drives that don't need cooling are. So really you don't need any more fans. And besides a few extra fans would barley be noticable.
