I'm trying to find some information about how windows and microsoft came to be, if anyone knows of any good books/websites or anything of that such could ya point me to them?
thanks in advance :)

somebody here had similiar thread in the last week. Somebody here will point the link for you.

or you can use "search" button to search for it

if this thread doesn't give what you look for, email Bill Gate and request for an interview about windows history. I'm sure he has plenty to say about it

hahaha thanks for the info about the previous thread ill try a search for it :)

Any ways Im working on a research paper, so I'm looking for an in depth history of microsoftand how window's came about, like what companies played a role ect.

yup, you found it. If you want a depth information, you should email Bill Gate for an interview. You probaly have free software and lunch/dinner in the end.:)

if MS has its museum, you can go there and find out too

or use google to search for information.

anyway, good luck with your research. Please let us know what you find out. Bad or Good. We love to hear from you:D ;)

Windows History - According to Microsoft (wouldnt believe this to much, this comes from the mouth of the company which told us Win95 would run in 8mb of RAM :D

I would also suggest reading the antitrust paper work as understanding MS's ethics ensures a better understanding of the company
