is this a decent card still for the current run of games out. I have a 9800 pro but do not really think I need it. Any feedback welcome, I am willing to give up DX 9 for a cheaper card and to save some cash.
Can one expect decent frame rates with this card o/c'd to play HL2 and Doom 3 to come?? I can get it for cheap the equal of say $85US
Thats a pretty fast card i had one it did 300/650 no problem.
It would be a good card for older games but not to great for the newer games HL2 or doom3.

local deal in buysell.com in Canada, just found out it is not the turbo but just the reg version ti4200p how does this one do for overclocking? anyone know
Also considering a Sapphire 9500 Pro as partial trade on my 9800 Pro just based on what I have read about performance. I see it comes with 3.3 Infenion any of you guys got some feedback on this particular card?
9500 pros are pretty good... but personally... for the money you'd get back in that trade; I'd say stick with your 9800 pro. Overkill now means no upgrades later.
yea he is right, keep that 9800. having infineon 3.3ns ram is gonna give you little to no overclock on the ram. The core may do around 360MHz since its one that didnt make pro speeds. still a huge upgrade over a 9500 pro. dont bother with a ti4200 at this point unless money is tight. the non turbros, at least I can speak for mine did 300 on the core but only 525 on the ram
like the other people have said, if you want to run DX9 games with DX9 features enabled, then you have to hold on to your 9800. Especially if you want to run HL2 fast!
as for some info on this card:
this card has 128MB of 3.3ns memory, same as Ti4600, so it should overclock quite well.
