Hello all. I have done much searching but cannot find anyone using old memory like me!:) For the time being I need to use my stick of 256 DDR 2700 with my Barton 2500 and NF7-S.

Will someone please suggest the bios settings I should use with this memory to lock it in a safe range so I can OC the processor?

I have been using "optimum" as default and a couple of OC FSB settings I have tried have put the mem to 266 and 296 cycle.

I just want to make sure stability-wise that I can set this memory to a safe range and eliminate it as a suspect when trying to reach higher speeds.

Also, prime95 locks my system when it tests.

I'm using my 2x 256MB PC2700 DDR Corsair RAM with NF7-S (2.0) and Barton 2500+, and I've got the RAM divider thing set to 6:5, with the processor running @ 3200+ speeds, that gives me 333MHz for the RAM. I've done Prime95 for 7+ hours without a hitch, and I don't even have a RAM heatspreader ;)

I have dual DDR PC2700 512MB from Simpletech, cheap memory by the way. My settings are 2.5, 3, 3, 7. And I'm running my Barton XP 2500 @ 2258 mhz (166 X 13.5 on the bus side). I increase the voltage to 1.725 and runs perfect. I was able to increase to 1.75 and go 166X14 but the increase in perfomance was minimal so I pulled back to 166X13.5.
