Are Samsung ATA133 drives any good?

Given a choice between Seagate and Samsung(ATA133,7200 RPM )hard drives, which one to be preferred purely on the basis of performance and quality?

Thanks in advance!

Performance and quality, with no other considerations, I'd go with Seagate.

Add in noise and the 3 year warranty of the Samsungs and I'd go with the Samsungs.

Seagate Barracuda IV experience: I personally own and use about 6-7 of these drives and all have been 100% reliable so far. I've also put about 40 into customer boxes and all have been 100% reliable. I did get one brand-new out of the box that had a bad vibfation so I RMA'd it. This is over the past 2 years.

Samsung Experience: one SP0802N, one SP1604N and one SP1614N personally owned by me and have been 100% reliable so far.

Of course none of this is statisitically significant.
