I'm now in Colorado
So I lapped to 2500 grit, didn't spend much time on it, it isnt a mirror finish but it is much better than it was, cleaned it off with the supplied surface cleaner. Put a drop of pcm+ on the die and let the mounting pressure do the spreading, which is what should be done with every grease/paste.

As I stated, 2° drop, probably one degree for lapping and one for better thermal compound.
My previous TIM was CoolerMaster High Performance.

I will let you know if temps start to go up at all. I only take my cooler off my processor about every 6 months, so next time I take it off I will let you know if there is any severe oxidation or scorching.

Goog job! I cooled down my processor down 10 c with load at 200 X 11 with 1.675 vcore. See my sig below. What I was surprised to see was the thermal pad had melted away, resulting in air gaps B/T cpu and hs. And the scary part is I only had my new rig for 2 months. I highly recommend high perfromance parts if you plan to OC.

I'd be a little wary of using that thermal paste though...

If you read the thread you will see that I posted on that subject. They have surface cleaner now that comes with it that is supposed to stop the oxidation. As I said I will let everyone know if there is any negative effects.
I did not buy anything I received.;)

I wouldn't give Nanotherm or Scott Gallmeyer any of my business... There are plenty of other pastes that perform comparably and come from companies with integrity.

I try to avoid doing business with those who rip-off and lie to the disabled, as well as all of their customers and the community.

I would quote the high points here, but I do not want to rip off their forums as I don't know if I'm welcome to quote this material - it's basically exclusive to their forums AFAIK.

As I said, I did not give him any business, they were samples, and thank you for those links, I said yes to the samples before I read those, otherwise I may of said otherwise.

Glad I do not have any problems.
I am going BACK to PCM+.
I have had all my questions answered by Scott to my satisfaction.
I am sorry for all of the others that have had problems with PCM+ but i have had none and I DO like the performance better than AS5. If I do have a problem, I know I can go back to AS5.
