Hey,
I have some more ram on the way, i'm working on getting up to 1 gig. this will consist of 2 256MB sticks, and 1 512MB stick.
I've been told 2 very different things from diff people. I'm trying to determine which is correct.
situation 1: 256MB in slot 1, 512MB in slot 2, and 256MB in slot 3 = 512 in DC (slots 1 and 3) and 512 in SC (slot 2).
correct?
or
situation 2: 256MB in slot 1, 256MB in slot 2, 512MB in slot 3 = 1024 in DC. don't know about this one, but someone told me that slot 1 and 2 will act in DC with slot 3. so if you had a total of 512 in slots 1 and 2, and 512 in slot 3, then the total amount of ram would operate in DC.
I'm just looking for some clarification about which slot(s) (1,2,both) are DC.
thanks
J.
