i wanna see how good of an OC your getting on these locked 2500+ bartons, so i can decide if i should spend the $$ for high end memory, or get the chip period.

I tried two week 42 xp2600+ processors that where locked on an abit nf7-m motherboard. The built in videocard was in use, so it could be that it was causing the problems, but with default vcore neither of them would go over 188fsb. (prime stable that is)

For what its worth, I got mine to 2.25ghz or 205x11.

That was with only fsb increase. Nothing to Vcore or mem.

Using cheap PC3200 and ASRock k7vm4

I think you'll find a great many people with the UNlocked bartons left the multiplier at stock 11 and just raised the FSB to 200...

I'm running 200x11 at stock voltage and i'll probably stay here for a while... It gives a perfect balance of performance and noise and I'm very happy with it.

Ditto. However, I did push it higher temporarily, just out of curiosity. It does 2300 without sweating, and probably higher too. Now, I got 2300 by changing the mux to 11.5 on a 200 FSB, but you could get the same with 11x209 or something. I wouldn't be surprised if these Bartons would do 210 and above FSB, given what I've seen with mine. I'll experiment with that, but first I have to get some better cooling.
