I'm about to order a new heatsink for my AMD 2500+, but I can't decide on which one to get. I trying to decide between the SLK-947U and the MCX-462V. The Swiftech aparently works well with low airflow fans, which is what I'll be using (Panaflo L1A), but the Thermalright is ranked higher in the heatsink round-up on overclockers.com. Which one will work beter for me with the fan I am using? Thanks.

There's not much difference between the performance of the MCX462-V and the SLKs. The Swiftech sure looks nice. My preference would be for a SLK though.

If you can get the SLK900A for $20, I'd go for that instead of the SLK947. The performance is identical after all.

Just read about this:

When ordering SLK-900A from svc, try entering this new code
vf900a
you just might get it for $19.99 (!)

I got it for $19.99 last time they had the $10 off code.
