I know, those of you who know what your doing are saying "install latest 4in1's". Well, I did that without the AGP update and then I installed the AMD miniport 522 driver, then I reinstalled nVidia 12.90 drivers... That bumped my score up from 1250! Pitiful, I know. I am in dire need of some real advice. I'm even willing to do a clean install, so if someone who has a similar setup can help me out? I have all drivers and files at my disposal, so please tell me which BIOS to use and in what particular order should I install updated drivers, SP2 and AGP miniport, etc...

NOTE: Why do I have driver version 5.13.01.1290 whereas everyone else has 4.13.01.12.90 when I do the 3DMark2001 compare reuslts?

My Sisoft Sandra 2001 scores:
CPU
Drystone ALU: 3285
Whetstone FPU: 1622
Multimedia
Integer MMX: 6678
Floating-Point3DNow: 7408

Memory
Int ALU/RAM: 499
Float FPU/RAM: 579

I know, I desperately need some REAL HELP!

GeForce 2 cards naturally score low in 3DMark 2001 because they do not fully support DX8, like pixel and vertex shading for example. Get a GeForce3 or an ATI Radeon, they are both fully DX8 certified and have vertex and pixel shaders.

Hmm...yeah...It seems to me that you should get higher scores than that. I am not sure how to help you but if you have backed up your hdd, I don't see a reason why not to reformat. I do it about once a month. There may be some setting in the bios that could help you, but I'm not sure. Good Luck. Try reformatting

He should still get better scores than that.

using default of 1024 x 768 in 32-bit. I haven't even attempted to OC GF2 or CPU either - not sure i even will... I'm all out of ideas! I'm going to try 12.41 drivers, but I heard that 3DMark2001 likes 12.90 drivers better.

Have any of you guys noticed the driver version tho? Check yours out and see what you have, please. Maybe I'm using a bogus set of drivers? Who knows? Still need all the help you guys can trow at me...

Thanks
