my PSU is making a very quiet humming sound. I can only hear it with my computer off and my head to the psu. Also when I turn the on/off power switch on on the back of the psu, the whole computer goes on for 1 sec then back off.

Should I be worried about this?

And can a bad psu malfuction and kill all your parts connected to it?

thanks_lee

Humming sound - normal, but some do it louder than others. Power issue - happens to me when the "state after power failure" in bios power options is set to "auto."

Can a bad PSU kill parts connected to it - yes, especially if it's a Deer variant. Depends on the quality of the PSU's design.
