Case mod help

I'm gettting a Casemax 210 series case(I'm sure theres already some grumbles)
Basically I want to mod the 60mm exhaust to at least an 80mm
now I am getting a Fortron PSU with 120mm fan on the bottom working as another exhaust so I dunno if I need to but heres a picture of what the case looks like now

You guys always have the best ideas so help me out here what should i do

If you use air cooling, I would flip that fan around and build a shroud to blow cool air across your heatsink. I have a similar contraption in the works to blow air from an 80mm down over my power mosfet's.

So I shouldn't use it as exhaust but as another intake. I'm thinking of doing the shroud idea over my heatsink after reading a thread about a big dead zone. I'll have a TT smartfan 2 on there

Well Im not telling you , just giving suggestions. From looking at the pic though it looks like theres no real space to fit an 80mm in there without an adapter.

hmm would dual 60mm fans even be worth the trouble or would that be too much fan not enough flow

I had an idea what if i used that to cool my graphics card GPu in some way instead of exhaust and let the psu do the work or would that be ignorant

Hmm..

Id go with dual 60's.. looks like you might have enough space for 3 even... just use some Vantec Stealths or Panaflow L1a's to keep the noise down, since 60's like to whine like an unfed baby..

so adding more small fans is ok, that to me seemed like of like un needed overkill I wish i was with the case right now I gotta wait 15 days till I get to start modding and all that.

consider putting fans on the side panel (the one removed in that last picture). that way, they can fit, no prob, and you can aim them exactly where you want them. and while you are doing that, put in a window, some ccfls and other nifty little bits.
keep us updated

mod on

heh I'm not exactly skilled at modding funny thing is it comes with a window I really wanted to do an etch on it rather than put a fan on but i'll decide that when i get to look at it up close

maybe you just dont know you have skills. i didnt know what i could do until i tried. check out my work, as a first time modder http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showth...84#post2304984 [ /shameless self promotion]

what i'm gettin at here is, give it a try, or else you will never know what you can do... or in the worst case senario, what you can't do.

Oh don't worry I'm gonna give it a try heh, I'm just limited as to what I can do since my case is a few thousand miles away but I'm already trying to plan what all I can do with the case its a smaller case but its going to be my lan case so I want it to be compact yet stay somewhat cool since I'm obviously going to overclock. All suggestions are more than welcome

that case looks alot like mine. mines a Raidmax. i dont remember what model, its and older one with the X window and a fan in the middle of the X

but the inside looks alot like yours. theres alot that can be done with those cases. theres enuf room behind the mobo tray underneath the other side panel to hide almost all the wires, and room enuf to hide invertors for cold cathodes.

take a look at my case http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showth...hreadid=240333 . hopefully itll give you ideas on what you can do to yours.

i have 2 80mm fans on the top for exhaust and 2 80mm fans on the side for the intake. it keeps the temp down nicely.

I'm really being picky right now I want it to be a stealthish lan case but at the same time stay cool, but I don't wanna go water cool so I'm going to have to compromise as much as I hate it. But anyways I was thinking the side fan is looking like a good idea and I've been reading about doing a shroud mod to my heatsink which sounds interesting but the effects don't look too extreme but any change is better. What if i switched out that 60mm and the front fan which im thinking of turning into a 120 into high performace fans instead of using stock, I'm sure you guys were already thinking I should do that but it seems like a really good way to keep things tight and also use what room I have to make it still look standard.

uMm..
Come on tare that case appart! Modding is your friend you cant be afraid to experiment just start cutting and Modding too much talk aint going to get you no where you gotta just go for it Man you got the right case now let's see some action. Dont say your not exactly skilled at modding cuzz the only place that going to take you is no where. First thing you gotta think about is what kinda modder are you some modders like to mod only little stuff like just add some Cold Cathodes and add a window and they think there case is modded... boo! while others know the true meaning of Modding. Just go for the whole enchllada man. Take your time and go for it. Dont spend too much time dwelling on it, your going to give your self a Headache.
