let s say i have an overclocked 2500+ running at 200mhz fsb with ddr400 memory synch with tight timings....

if i d like to run my barton with stock 166 fsb, would i be able to use the same memory running synch at ddr333 with maybe even tighter timings.....

in other words i d like to know how pc3200 memory behaves when running in pc2700 mode?
is it slower/maybe faster/possible at all?

someone tried it yet?

Yes almost everybody with a 2500+ Barton and PC3200 or higher have tried it.

Yes it is possible to get tighter timings at lower speed.
Memory doesn't really have a speed. They have ratings. Like the tyre on a car they're rated to go at a certain speed MAX, but you can go slower or faster.
