some of my new BARTON 2500 work

is about a week old and finally getting my burnin/conditioning done.
i can do any benches anyone wants, but 3dmark will be rather funny as i only have a gforce 256 until next week.

anyhow everything is memtested and prime approved!

the ram is 215 single channel as i can only get 210 dual channel now, needs much more testing imo.i just fixed that as i was stuck at 180fsb DC. apic in bios had to be redone.is an issue with hyperX ram and nf7-s's

im wanting 2.5ghz on air so hopefully this week it will happen.

Looks real good, I'm letting my rig burn in tonight, I can't wait to watch my SETI times fall with this CPU, if all goes well I'll be letting some NIUHB's go in the classifieds soon.

I'm now at 1.925V 44C load to keep everything stable.

2426 shooting for 2500 in a few days

im close but i need a tad better hs/fan which im working on now.

the chips definatly have it in em tho.
on a phase change system id bet 2.8ghz on these bad boys.

mines been running this for a few days now and i went and completly recleaned my heatsink and redid my as3 so i need another day of heat to get this as3 setin.

What PSU you using? That is some crazy voltages you got there, especially the 12v rail.

What HSF are you using? the temp looks good.

Keep us update

the psu is an AHANIX silenX 460, but just so you know its the fsp model
my original lines read as:
3.3v=3.3v
5v=4.98v
12v=11.87v

and one tweak of a pot i had what you see here.its a damn strong psu and even better than the truepower 480 i had on my last rig.

heatsink is a TT volcano 11+ with a 5000rpm screamer.
if you remove the fan guard it isnt very loud.

but i have a swiftech mcx 462+ on its way as a replacement.
i want 2.5ghz and under 50c folding.

eeh im about done pushing until better cooling is found.
hopefully soon a prommie will find its way to my house.

i use slow burnin/conditioning to run high vcore.once better cooling is found "ie" h20/phase change im not afraid to run 2.1/2.2 vcore.

one great thing id miss if i ever leave amd is the ability to run silly stupid voltages and it doesnt hurt a thing!
i run it like i bought it at half price and most things i do buy that way lol

yeh man i sold everything from my last rig.i bought alot of beer and skittles
i still have the fridge for the refer but is to much a pain to watch for condinsation and even hard to regulate the temps.

i just bought a butt load of parts today and hopefully ill have most my necessities purchased soon so i can slurge on phase change cooling or at least high end h20.

ill run a fast 3dmark 2k1 for ya this outa be funny.
its a geforce 256 card and oced too!

just wait until my 5900ultra gets here newxt week

and it does let you change voltage on the fly. is rather handy so i dont have to reboot a million times..http://www.hasw.net/nf7vcore/

my cpu: AQZFA 0340 UPMW 2500 barton

a while back i did a thread on how I burnin and condition my cpu's
mine is differant than others ways as i do mine mostly to condition it to running high vcore. 2v-2.2vcore
http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showth...ht=deathstar13

im going to phase change cooling soon so i need to reread what i wrote myself so i dont miss anything.

sorry it took so long to reply,i was outa town and forgot this thread was even here.

no this one is unlocked.
the store locally i buy from has pc's set up with web access so i just pulled up the unlocked/locked guide here.

id say this may be the best stepping of any unlocked 2500.
being that its the last of the unlocked and rather a new batch.

Nice stuff DeathStar! 2.8 on a prommie for sure! Can you post up some Sandra Benches for us? I want to see how a ~2.5 GHz Barton compares to some Thoroughbred benches, what with the larger cache

A quick question about that little voltage proggy for the NF7-S; How well does it work - what with FSB tweaking, and such?

everything seems to be working on the proggy that ive tried.
i didnt try the vdd or vdimm voltages, but everything seems good.agp voltage is blanked out but i never use it much anyhow.

ill do a battery of sandra stuff and also a superpi. which btw was the same as a A64 stock speed
give me a bit to do these benches.

"edit" just4u ill bump it to 2.5ghz
would get over 50c folding so i usually stay at 2472.

Increasing the FSB of a locked 2500 Barton would be better than increasing the FSB of a 2800 Barton?

What do you think the max FSB for CPU I could get with Kingston HyperX Series 512mb PC2700 ram and a locked 2500 Barton on an A7N8X Deluxe Retail rev2.0 board?

specs are in sig as well

*Very* nice scores Deathstar - very interesting too.

I am going to try out that proggy you linked up - looks like it could be really useful for fine-tuning stuff on the fly.

Z3ro - start a new thread about it if you want to gets the most answers to your question

The A7N8X-Deluxe usually has a pretty low FSB wall - around 210 Mhz if you are lucky - it isn't the best overclocking board. Go with an ABIT NF7-S instead.
