Does that mean it will play through the computer speakers even when the computer is off..and will it also take advantage of the sound card when the comp is off? If it does..this is neat product!

Yes it looks like it will as it comes with its own powersupply as shown on the second page, looks like a nice player, pretty handy if you dont have a standalone stereo!

My computer IS my main stereo......Its louder and better sounding that any other stereo I have owned..

Its just one of those things that people who have more money than sense add onto their computers, if I had the money I'd get one but why not just run your music through your computer normally?
