Hi guys and gals,

I just need a cheap card for the computer that I have to build for a friend and I'm thinking about buying a Radeon 9500 64MB and try to softmod it into a Radeon 9500 Pro 64MB if possible without artifacts.

My question now is, how much slower is it in comparison to a Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB or, say a Geforce 4 Ti 4200-4600?

Thx in advance!

Just a guess but I would say it might be similar to comparing a 9500 256bit to a 9500 128bit.

Personally I would look for a 128bit as they are nearly the same price as a 64bit cards. Then, if it mods ok, you will have a.......oh well you know that ;)

right now, there is a difference between 64Mb and 128MB cards in the new games, ut2k3 and generals have a pretty big difference between 64Mb and 128MB cards.
