problem with my Abit NF7-S

problem with my Abit NF7-S


It boots up but no video dont even get that one beep the fans just spin reseated the cpu, ram, video the only thing I havent tried is another power supply but it should work with 300watts right?

1600xp unlocked
512 kingston 2100 ddr
radeon 9800 np
maxtor 80 gig
52x cdr

any other problems you can think I will do anything at this point?

do you have the 5v plugged into the card?
i made that mistake with my 9500np once.

try vga mode
are you on a different monitor? maybe the current resolution isn't supported?

I have 4 monitors 3 LCD and 1 crt still nothing I hear the beep for normal but still no video....off the topic does the NF7-S support AMD MP processors

Do you have a OS installed? It still should post and then boot into windows if its not something major. Have speakers on so you can hear the startup sound of windows loading.

Hmm...

300 Watts seems a little low...but you should get a POST. Do you see anything at all? If not..then either your vid card is hosed...not connected to power (although I thought Radeons displayed an error message if this were the case..or it is not seated properly. Check vid card again...make sure seated well in...the AGP clip should be locked in place to secure card.

Radeons do post an error message - mine was rather friendly, actually.

Make sure your clear CMOS jumper is in the correct position.

300w should be fine with your setup.

Might try looking for debris in the processor socket holes or blowing out the CPU, RAM, and AGP sockets.
