Router Problems

I've got a Linksys BESX41 router and have had it for a couple months with no problems. But last night it started to act up. Sometimes I can go online w/no problems, and then all the sudden it drops the connection. And some of the computers hooked up to it can get online, and some not. It's a rather sperattic problem. Is there anything that I can do other than rma it? I got it from Newegg, so no problem rma'ing it, but that will leave my network down until I get it. Any sugestions?

I had a Linksys BEFSR41 4 port router that did this. Sometimes it would work right. And other times it would'nt. Would loose connections and had to be unpluged and plugged back in. Also it did not like my Netgear USB ethernet adapter either. It would always lose the connection if transfering files over it. Then I'd have to literaly unplug the USB adapter and plug it back in to reastablish the connection.
Also port forwarding only seemed to work when it felt like it. I could not run any sort of server behind it and make it visible outside my network without it dropping all the client connections almost right away. The thing was such a headeche for me.

I dumped it and built a Linux gateway/firewall box instead. I'm much happier with it. So much more flexibility. I am able to do much more with it and it's reliable.
