9600XT Question

I'm thinking about getting one for my second computer. I'm just wondering if any of the makers use anything other than the 3.3ns Samsung that comes with the BBA. I'm still suprised that ATI did that considering that the 9600pro comes with 2.86ns Samsung.

But my 9600pro came with 3.0ns ram. Cant see the #s on it Because of ramsinks.anymore, but they had 30 at the end of the #s when i got it and posted the ram chip #s. Wish i had the 2.8ns ram.

Hmmm, what brand was yours. The BBA that I had used the 2.86ns. The could have changed with newer versions though

I noticed that the powercolor 9600xt has its memory clocked at 340. Does anyone know what type of ram it has?

Stinkin ram will only clock to 320 before artifacts. Actually sometimes only 317. Chips are cool to touch. So its not a heat issue. I have temp probes on side of ramsink and touching chip and have probe on back of GPU. Both run pretty cool. GPU only get to 30c load.

Wish i had the 2.8
