Wow I never knew that raid controller cards had a ram slot. The controller I'm looking at is the Promise FastTrak S150 SX4. It says that it supports up to 256megs of SDRAM. Is there any good advantage of say getting 256 over 128 on the card? ECC sounds fun and its not really that much more expensive in the SDRAM catigories. Should I go with pc100 or 133? Does it matter? (I've just never gotten ram for a controller card before)

The RAM is there as a cache for data waiting to be processed and have parity bits generated - also to cache the processing instructions. PC133 is what most controller cards will take, but as they specify a minimum of about 32MB I don't think there will be much difference between 128 and 256.
