1700+ instock at Newegg

Newegg has 1700+'s in stock for $49.

no idea if their A or B cores. it doesnt list it as DLT3C, but does list the voltage at 1.5v. may not be accurate though.

Thats great. I was just looking earlier today at what they had, and that wasn't there. Maybe its time for me to upgrade my 1800+ TBred A... The stupid thing won't even get to 1.85ghz without voltages I don't want to go to.

You should take a look at the Barton 2500+ (most likely locked)then, even though it's 85 bucks in newegg. With your system, you should get at least a good 2.3 GHz.

Wow - these must be serious refurbs, seeing as how the 1700+ was discontinued around week 20 of 2003.

Has anyone bought one yet? What was the stepping?

It would be cool if newegg had found a crate of 1700+ DLT3C "B" chip tucked away in the back corner of one of their warehouses - seeing as how *ALL* 1700+ chips are multiplier unlocked (a nice treat right now).

As for the newegg 's 1700+, on the pic that looks like a t-bred A(AIRGA) with 1.5v (DLT3C). So I think you can get either a t-bred A or B with 1.5v. I would like to know which places guarantee steppings. I saw excaliberpc with some 1800+ DLT3C's that are guaranteed, any other sites?

He might have the luck to get a B, does not mean t-bred A's are lurking around...

Well, I received a AXDA1700DUT3C / KIXIB 0339SPM (NOT A DLT3C AS advertized), but I guess it is a "model B"!

Maybe it will be better then my XP2200+ Model "A" ......

excaliberpc.com's good stepping 1800+ seem to be out. They have been for a few weeks now. Doesn't look like they're getting anymore.

My advice if you're trying to find a unlocked chip of any type, particularly a tbred...is to look now and not later.

Sorry, It will be a few days yet before I can try it.....

Got the same one as Tennessee:
AXDA1700DUT3C
KIXIB 0339MPM

Multiplier is unlocked.
However, I got up to 2.3g (210x11) with a Thermalright 800u and a 2200rpm fan, but Prime95 gets errors. Prime95 ran stable for 55hrs at 2.2g and 1.8v.

Becase both are locked, if I had to choose now, I would get the 1700+ over the 1800+ KIXIB, b/c if you bump up the FSB to 200mhz, you are at a good 2.2g. With the 1800+ at 200fsb you are running 2.3g. 11x VS. 11.5x. So if both are locked, the 1700+ is the more favorable of the 2, imho. I might consider replacing my 0319WMPW JIUHB with this KIXIB. Too bad they are sold out, I would buy more.

Not much luck here - ??

The XP1700+ KIXIB 0339SPM I received is locked. The NF7 MB is new to me so I'm learning - but can't get above 141FSB (1553MHz CPU).

MB NF7
RAM is Mushin LVL II PC3200.
Temps are 28C/40C
Vcore @ 1.6v (running Prime95)
CPU Interface Enabled
Ram set at 2-2-2-11.
Spread Spec all disabled
APIC disabled
Power Supply is a DELTA 350W (probabality not to good, DOES NOT HAVE -5v)

Have NOT done the L12 bridge yet.....

(did Prime at 140FSB for 15+hours)

Not sure where to go from here, still reading the forum

Suggestion welcome!

Sorry about my post earlier: My multiplier is LOCKED @ 11x.
However, that is a perfect number. I just push my Abit NF7 to 200mhz with Geil Ultra3200. That gives me 2.2g and 29*C at idle. Use a 800U and you are set, so Tennessee, don't sweat it too much. I can do 2.3g, but it can't run Prime95 too long. Good luck.

Thumbs up

I have made progress today. Have now gone passed 166FSB & 180FSB. Now letting it do some "useful work" overnite @ 190FSB. Funny it wouldn't post at 142, 143,145.... FSB but I don't care
