Annoying video problem

Ok our other comp has this pesky problem I cannot beat.

Every time I restart the computer, it loses videocard drivers. When I check from the system devices, it says that Device cannot start. Then I have to reinstall drivers.

It keeps on doing it no matter what videocard is in there, was doing with Rage 128 Pro, and now with GeForce3 Ti500. I really have no idea what to do next, IRQ address isn't shared with anything so that can't be the problem either.

I really would hate to do WinXP reinstall for it since it's my mother's computer.

EDIT: full specs of computer.

So here's the list what's inside there. 1GHz Thunderbird, MSI K7T Turbo mobo, 512 megs of ram, GeForce3 Ti 500, soundcard integrated, generic 52x CDrom and a floppy. Not sure about the power supply, but it's good, since the machine has never ever been unstable.

Also, I just ran 3dmark2001 on it.
