I just installed two sticks of 512 mushkin PC3500, a SLK900a heatsink, and a very loud tornado 92mm fan. I took out the cpu to get a better view when cleaning the old thermal pad off. When I rebooted, the start up/bios screen said "warning CPU has been changed" I booted to windows and saw that my memory was running at 400MGz but my cpu was running at 100. I restarted and tried to set it to 166, default for my cpu. No post. I cleared cmos and tried it at 133. no prob. memory still running at 400, cpu at 133. got new MOBo bios, installed 1007, rebooted, tried to set to 166 MGz. no post. Computer is now running at 1.09MGz, instead of the stock of 1.83. Help with any suggestions please.
