overclocking problems w/ asus mobo...?

Question overclocking problems w/ asus mobo...?


hi all! well i tried my first oc yesterday and my rig wouldn't boot back up. could you please look at the settings i plugged in and advise? thanks!
by the way i am a nOOb!

asus p4p800 deluxe
intel 4 2.6ghz
corsair twinx 2x256 3200LL
ati radeon 9600 pro
five case fans

bios settings
jumper free configuration:
ai overclock tuner-manual
cpu external freq-245......(this is how i adjust my cpu speed, correct?)
dram freq-320mhz...(this is a 5/4 ratio, right?)
agp/pci freq- 66.66/33.33

cpu v core voltage-1.6v
ddr ref voltage-2.75
agp vddr voltage-1.6v
performance mode-auto

i appreciate any help that you could provide. i've done a fair amount of research of settings on comprable rigs...but being a nOOb i might be overlooking the obvious.

IMO, drop your fsb down to 220, raise your cpu voltage to 1.65volts. See if it boots there, if so bump up the freq by 5mhz levels till it won't boot, than back it down by 1mhz increments till it boots. Then can start trying more.
