I curently run the Asus p4t533 w/3.06. Will I benefit by upgrading to an 800fsb board? I do alot of dvd copying and video editing

Thanks for any advice

Yes, a 3.0c p4 will do better thanks to hyperthreading and a higher bus of 800mhz.

it is a c series. you would say i could benefit then?

the board is a c series. the chip, honestly, I dont know

Does the "c" stand for central? if so then I have a c series

These are all the P4 3.06 cpu's that Intel lists.

sSpec# CPU Speed Bus Speed Mfg. Tech Stepping Cache Size Package Type

SL6SM 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 0.13 micron C1 512 KB 478 pin PPGA FC-PGA2

SL6S5 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 0.13 micron C1 512 KB 478 pin PPGA FC-PGA2

SL6QC 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 0.13 micron D1 512 KB 478 pin PPGA FC-PGA2

SL6K7 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 0.13 micron C1 512 KB 478 pin PPGA FC-PGA2

So, if I upgrade the mobo. I really wont be benefiting because my chip is 533mhz fsb. Is the new 3.2 worth getting?
