Guys any tips on setting up this:AMD2800+Barton,ASUS A7N8X-X rev.2.0,512mbPc2700 ramDDR,Radeon 9200 128mb,2x 30gig IBMdeskstars HD's,using the onboard nic, and sound.just not sure how or what my best bios setting's would be and how much more i could push this thing. i'am all so using the stock heatsink and 2x82mm excaust fans.1 power supply fan. and a harddrive fanset for intact thru the cdrom bay but there's no harddrive mounted too it.just really not sure of what it could do.@idle i'am getting 39C/102f CPU and 21C/69F MB Temp.

Do you know how many MHz you are running right now? Like 166x11? or... _______ the 2800 could be pushed pretty well. I have a 2500+ and im at 2.2 gigz right now. (200x11) So you can probly get a little higher then that. Just try raising your FSB number up like 3-5 MHz at a time until you get to where you want. Dont raise it to high though because then you will have to reset your BIOS and its sorta a real ***** to do.

This is what's setup right now:
CPU Ext. Freq=166
CPU Multiplier=12.5
CPU Vcore =1.650v
Mem Freq =166mhz
my clockspeed using the latest CPUid is saying 2088mhz and an Xp rating 2812+.

k your running at stock speeds. Personally id raise the CPU ext. freq to 200... but **** wait... you only have a 2700 DDR ram chip... well that should be able to hold the FSB to 200. CHeck in your motherboard book and look under hardware setup or anything close to that name...Someone there should be a little chart showing the if you have DDR 200 you can change your FSB to 100...266 (11,133,166,200) 333 (133,166,200) and 400 (133,166,200).

You have a DDR 333 so look in that book to see what the mobo supports. Usually though it can go even higher then these settings.

The A7N8X-X rev.2.0 (with the nForce2 400) will readily support 400 fsb and DDR3200. I would slowly raise the FSB and vcore (as necessary) to get a feel for you ceiling. Just be prepared - with stock cooling, you're not going to get very far.

I would highly highly recommend any of the premium THERMALRIGHT products to help you along in your journey. SLK900A can be had for $30 from www.svc.com, coupled with a nice 80mm fan, you would be well set.
