CD-RW and DVD-rom

which model/brands are the best and more importantly quiet? i was going to get a combo drive but i figure i can burn on the fly if they are seperate. what are youre guys thots? thanks and your input is greatly appreciated

Having to drives is the best option IMO... for the burner Plextor is the best and my 2 pionneer dvd drives have been great

plextors are a little more expensive than what i want to spend considering i can get a dvd rom AND a burner for the price of just a plextor burner.....are they really quiet?...i woudlnt mind paying more if they were really quiet
